Congress Venue
The Biological Congress 2007 will be held at The Lord Charles Hotel, Somerset West,
in Cape Town. The venue is conveniently located 30 minutes from Cape Town and
20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, amidst the exquisite surroundings
of the Cape wine lands.
Accommodation Venues
Block bookings have been made at The Lord Charles Hotel and other surrounding hotels,
lodges and Bed & Breakfast establishments. Please complete the enclosed accommodation
form and return to the congress organisers. Accommodation is booked on a first-come-first-served
basis and credit card details are required to secure your booking. A deposit equal to one night's
accommodation may be required. Any accommodation that is cancelled within 60 days, or any no-show
will be subject to a cancellation fee being charged to your credit card at the discretion of the hotel!
Airport / Hotel Shuttle Service
A shuttle service from Cape Town International Airport to all congress hotels will be
available. Further details will be available in the 2nd announcement and from the congress
organisers. The shuttle service will also be available on a daily basis between the official
congress hotels and The Lord Charles Hotel.
Accreditation / Language
The congress will be CPD accredited and will be conducted in English.
No translation service will be available.
Personal Insurance
Please note that all delegates are responsible for their own travel insurance,
medical insurance and cancellation fees.
Registration Information The Congress Organisers will confirm all registrations in writing
only once full payment has been received.
The registration fees are payable in South African
Rands ONLY and will include:

Admission to all scientific sessions for the duration of the congress
- Congress bag
- Programme, abstract book and other important material
- Luncheons and teas
- Admission to all social functions i.e. welcome cocktail party, gala dinner
The accompanying delegate's fee of R500.00 includes admission to the social events
but not to the academic programme.
Cancellation of Registration
Notice of cancellation must be given in writing. An administration fee of
R500.00 will be charged to all cancelled registrations. No refunds will be
given for any cancelled registrations 30 days prior to the congress .All
refunds will be handled after the congress.

Neither the congress organising committee nor Londocor Public Relations accept any liability for death,
injury, any loss, cost of expense suffered or incurred by any person if such loss is caused or
results from the act, default or omission by any person. In particular neither the congress
organising committee nor Londocor can accept any liability for losses arising from the provision
or non-provision of services provided by local companies or transport operators.
Nor can the congress organising committee or Londocor accept liability for losses suffered
by reason of war including threat of war, riots and civil strife, terrorist activity, natural
disaster, weather, fire, flood, drought, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown within
any premises visited by delegates and/or partners in connection with the conference, industrial
dispute, governmental action, regulations or technical problems which may affect the services provided
in connection with the conference. Neither the congress organising committee nor Londocor is able to
give any warranty that any particular person will appear as a speaker or panellist.
