About SASOP

Overview

 

The South African Society of Psychiatrists (SASOP) was established in 1952 to promote, maintain and protect the honour and interests of members, the discipline of Psychiatry and to serve the community.

SASOP is actively involved in de-stigmatising and discrimination of people who suffer from mental illness.

SASOP is managed by a team of elected volunteers practicing as psychiatrists.
